While in Hong Kong, we took a day trip to Macao (also spelled Macau), China. It's a 45 minute ferry ride from Hong Kong. Macao is basically China's version of Las Vegas, as there are lots of big hotels and casinos, but we stayed away from these parts. Macao was formally a colony of Portugal, from the 1500's, until 1999, so there is lots of history and European inspired architecture.
Once we arrived, we grabbed lunch at a local cafe, then stumbled upon this yellow and green building (which was actually a library) that complimented my dress perfectly. This was my first time wearing this dress from Frida Lemon, and don't be surprised if you see me wearing it again, because I'm obsessed with the print, plus it's super comfortable and fun to spin in. I got some strange looks by those passing by because I was twirling around while taking photos. I've linked the dress here, if you want to check it out for yourself: https://fridalemon.com/producto/vestido-de-inspiracion-hawaiana/ After taking photos, we stopped by Lord Stow's Bakery to try a Portuguese egg tart. Portuguese egg tarts are a signature of Macao, so they are sold everywhere, but this location is the original spot, so if you are going to get one, definitely get it from here. Next we went over to Senado Square, which is an area that has really great architecture and has a very European feel. At this point, it started to rain, so in between walking around, we stopped in a few stores, as well as a modern art gallery, to keep dry. Macao is a great place to spend a day if you are visiting Hong Kong, I would definitely recommend checking it out! Dress: C/O Frida Lemon (www.fridalemon.com) Sneakers: H&M Location: Coloane, Macao
