This summer was meant to be "the return of New York City" after the pandemic, but so far it's been off to a disappointing start. It's almost become laughable how every weekend when I want to get out and check things off my bucket list, the weather is rainy or extremely hot and humid. I'm trying to remind myself that I don't need to rush and do everything right away, and to just appreciate being back in NYC.

Last year when I attended a Studio 54 exhibit, I was inspired by some photos of NYC during that time. So I had the idea to recreate the vibe with my friend Desirae and a photographer named Lorenzo. We shot these photos around Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in front of an old bodega and also this car we found. I'm really happy with how they came out and think they encompass the original inspiration.
These are the first photos I shot in my new apartment. It's still nowhere near complete, but feels good to be in my own place. I'll be sure to share more once it's finished.
