         A few weeks ago my friend Emily and I went to check out Deux Chats, an adorable bar in Brooklyn, while she was in town visiting from Atlanta. It was so cute and had the best vintage vibes, would definitely recommend.
        This outfit in these photos is from Rihoas, which I shot for their International Women's Day Campaign. Even though it was a sunny day, it was still chilly out, so I opted to take these photos inside my apartment. I wanted to encompass a self love and female empowerment vibe, so I combined a quote I like a lot from Persian Poet and a concept from Amorousabyss.
         I spent an afternoon the week between Christmas and New Years at one of my favorite places: Happy Medium- an art cafe located in Chinatown. They host open studios where you can pick your medium, collage, clay, watercolor, charcoal, etc. This day I happened to pick watercolor. One of my goals for 2023 is to do more creative things off my phone and social media.
         As the second part of the Nordstrom campaign, I did a separate solo shoot, as seen here. It was fun to get glammed up and listen to 70's disco music while shooting these. Overall, I was pretty pleased with how both shoots turned out.
         For the holidays I worked on a campaign with Nordstrom. The concept for the campaign was 70's and 80's disco, so it was right up my alley. Part of a requirement of the campaign was to include friends, so my friends Diane and Holly were kind enough to play dress up with me.
     I shot these photos when I got back to NYC. I wanted to take photos in this sweatshirt I found in France. I bought it in one of the tourist shops along the Seine, but I could envision it being styled in a more fashionable way. I think the collared shirt underneath, pairing it with a skirt, and the matching beret to bring out the pop of red all help to tie the look together and elevate it.
       Towards the end of my trip, I was able to meet up with my friend Nawal, whom I met through Instagram. We met for the first time in NYC back in 2018 when she came to visit from Paris, so I was glad to be able to met up with her again in her city. She showed me some of the secret passageways in Paris, where we shot these photos, followed by lunch and vintage shopping.
      Last time I went to Paris, I didn't get a chance to see the Eiffel Tower lit up at night, so this time I made it a point to go. We were able to get there in time to catch the last light show, where the tower sparkles before going dark for a few hours at 1am. It really is a very different experience seeing it at night vs day.
      I found this dress a few weeks before my trip while I was thrift shopping and it reminded me of the iconic photos of Sharon Tate in Paris in 1968, so I decided to do my best to recreate them along the Seine.
