I shot this look back at one of my favorite photo spots. I found this vintage dress at Beacon's closet back in the winter. It was initially knee length but I chopped it and hemmed it to be mini length. I decided to style it to be very "lanacore" with the baby blue bow and this new coca cola book I recently bought. 

Last weekend I spent the day at the TWA hotel. I hadn't been in 2 years, so it was nice to be back. I went with my friend GG and this was her first time going. One of the outfits I shot there was this navy dress I thrifted over the winter from East Village Vintage Collective. It was deadstock, so it still had the original tags on it. I hemmed it to be a bit shorter and styled it in a classic, 60's way to go along with the theme of the TWA. 

Last weekend I took an impromptu trip to Florida. I wanted to shoot this swimsuit I received from ​SummerSalt with this sunglasses I bought at Beacon's closet- which seemed like a match made in heaven. I decided to style my hair in a beehive and add red lipstick to complete this retro look. 

I recently received this baby blue peacoat from SummerSalt. I decided to style this with a red beret and skirt and shoot it under the arch in Washington Square Park to give it a Parisian vibe. Baby blue and red are one of my favorite color combinations. It is also a common combo in a lot of French New Wave movies, so to me it's always synonymous with a French feeling. 

There are few things I can resist more than a baby blue vintage cardigan. I already have several, but I couldn't resist picking up this other from Beacon's closet. I had the idea to style it with an early 60's vibe in mind, so I paired it with a polka dot skirt I also found at Beacon's closet, and a vintage white button up I already owned from the Niche Shop.

Last weekend I crossed another summer bucket list item off my list- Asbury Park. This is another trip I try to make every summer. I started with brunch at Cardinal and then went into the vintage stores. Then I took photos, got ice cream and strolled the boardwalk before taking the train home. 

A few weeks ago I made my annual trip to Coney Island. I have gone at least once almost every summer since moving to NYC. I went with my friend GG and this was the first time she’s been. We rode the wonder wheel together and she also went on the cyclone, both are two of the original rides dating back to the 20s. We also got fries and hot dogs at Nathan’s, got ice cream on the boardwalk, went in the little historical museum, and got some souvenirs. It was a really hot and humid day, but really fun. 

Earlier this year I read a book about JCrew and it inspired my style for this summer. I naturally gravitate towards preppy and nautical style in the summer, but I was really inspired by they heyday of Jcrew in the early 80s. I was so happy when my friend Holly found this vintage tennis dress for me.

A few weeks ago I binged watched “Welcome to Chippendales” on Hulu. It was a great show that takes place in the late 70s/early 80s and I got inspired by the show to create a look that would fit in during that time period.
